Boltzmann's constant (symbol k)

One of the fundamental constants of physics, with the value 1.3806×10-23 joules per kelvin. It is the ratio of the gas constant to Avogadro's number. The energy associated with each degree of freedom of an atom or molecule is 1/2(kT) where T is absolute temperature.
